Nuray does not understand the ABC of the Trinity

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

As I was reading the comments of Nuray on the Trinity, the words of the Fathers of the Church came to my mind. These men defended Christianity during its early period when there were plenty of people, and many of them Christians, who subscribed to more absurd thoughts than Nuray's.

If you (you here is for Nuray :-)) really want to understand about the Trinity, a good place would be http://www.ccel.org and then click on the link Church Fathers. There you will find the entire works of the Fathers of the Church. A good one on the Trinity is by Hiliary of Poitiers, a total of 7 books (He was born in about AD 300).

And since you commented on John 1:1, you should read the commentary of St Chrysostom on the Gospel of John.

A short concise work that solves your problem would be The Great Catechism by Gregory of Nyssa.

All of the above can be found on the same site and they have not lost any of their flavour even after thousands of years.

If you read any of the above works, you will find that you are not the first one to raise such "absurd" questions. They were raised thousands of years ago (thousands of years ago sounds good!) and properly answered.
