My dear Ahmad (RYA) your command of Muslim tafseer is very defective and you being a Muslim "convert" from the US as you claim you must have been given the wrong information so shame on the tableghees that invited you to join Islam.

So here is your chance to shine, and you can consult Tabari, Ibn Katheer or Suyuti in regard to the doctrine of al-Harb al-Muqadassa or Jihad (Holy war) and come back and tell us.

As for your assertion that the violence in the Qur'an is directed against the pagans of Mecca and the poor the poor Jewish victims in Medina of Abul Qasim aka Muhammad and his Allah, then provide me with the evidence from the Qur'an to support your rather lame assertion.

Even if you are correct why would your Allah "yuharid" or incite Muhammad and his followers to kill? This is a crime against humanity.

Also your Allah is supposed to be omnipotent and he can convert those stubborn pagans to Islam without any of the killing thing. Do you know why your Allah did not selcect this option? Because he is not omnipotent and therefore he is no God!...
