Improv On The Potomac - Adjunct To, Or Alternative For, Sanity?

Reader comment on item: U.S. Improvising on Security Five Years After 9/11

Improvisation can be a good thing, as long as it comes with proper instructions, and isn't the only tool in the box.

Our enemies are totally committed to succeeding in their goal of World domination.

Unless we are equally committed to their failure, we almost certainly will. But in order for the necessary frame of mind to be achieved, we have to have a coherent and comprehensive plan. And in order to write it, we need responsible leadership and responsible mass media as well as effective education.

As those of us know who have been following this, the American Left is moving further on out into the twilight zone, while the 'MSM' is mostly dedicated to sucking the rest of America out along with them. And, with our system of "education" (more properly PC indoctrination) providing spotty training in critical thinking and technological ability, their ranks are swelling at an alarming rate as our productivity declines.

And, most important, America's primary source of strength is being eroded. We were founded on the belief in G-d, and the inalienable right of each individual to worship G-d as he saw fit. Without that, even if we were to reverse the awful trends listed above, it would be of little use without the bedrock belief that we are dependent on G-d for our success. Unfortunately, we appear to be losing on that front, as well.

So, Frankly, I'm really amazed we've been as successful at deterrence as we currently seem!

Not wanting to end on such a pessimistic note, I will observe that most Americans don't want the Leftist agenda to succeed, and if we are able to keep blogging alive as a source of information, we may stand a chance.
