Will they have to pass a lie detector test and be interviewed by the FBI or will the ACLU protect them from the rule of law?

Should the US not take action against any one who goes to these camps in Pakistan, Afghanistan and others since the only reason to go there is to gain knowledge in terrorism and not educating oneself in history, geography, religion or culture.
