Jews Living in Christendom...Why Would They Want To?

After the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, why would the Jews who actually denied the followers of Jesus, to live among them in Israel, travel all the way to Christendom to live among the very same Christians??? Many find this very odd, since most Jews did not, and many still do not mingle with others outside their faith. What was their motive? Did they actually believe that they would be accepted with open arms after their hand in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ? Why not simply remain in Israel among their own?
