Lawrence Auster, Daniel Pipes and Islamophobia

Reader comment on item: [The Search for Moderate Islam:] A Reply to Lawrence Auster

I am sure that neither Lawrence Auster nor Daniel Pipes is Islamophobic. However, Auster's view-point is more ambiguous than Pipes's. Holding the view that all Islam is bad is certainly wrong. In contrast, contending that "Militant Islam is the problem and Islam is the solution" is far more sensible.

Liberals love to have enemies like Lawrence Auster because they can call them "Islamophobes". How to shut up your opponents with only one word: Islamophobia.

Islamophobia is another word for racism and Islamophobes are racists. Like I said, Auster and Pipes are not Islamophobic and liberals should know that. But, since when has Truth mattered to liberals?

Auster is far more vulnerable to allegations of Islamophobia and racism than Pipes.

Pipes speaks Arabic and distinguishes between Militant Islam and Islam.

Liberals have a much harder time shutting up Pipes. Pipes is the right man to defeat liberals and Militant Islam.
