Moderate Islam Does Exist

Reader comment on item: [The Search for Moderate Islam:] A Reply to Lawrence Auster

Submitted by Mustafa Akyol (United States), Jan 28, 2005 at 23:08

As a Muslim, I applaud Dr. Pipes' recent response to Lawrence Auster. This piece is actually an excellent refutation of the true Islamophobia -- a term that some fanatics dared to use in order to defame Dr. Pipes so unjustly in the past.

Those of us Muslims, who believe that "moderate Islam" can and does exist, are very glad to see the works of such sensible, honest and wise commentators on Islam like Daniel Pipes.

May God aid him and his invaluable work.
