Reader comment on item: Democrats, Republicans, and Israel

Submitted by Donald W. Bales (United States), May 23, 2006 at 18:47

Democrats and liberals purport to believe in representative government (one man one vote), independent judiciary and jusice, tolerance both social and religious, equality of the sexes and compassion. However, they seem to favor groups who do not practice any of that and seem to despise the only country in the so-called Middle East that does all of it.

Mysterious. Irrational?

Is it just a manifestation of an underlying anti-Jew feeling?

How can they accept or gloss over suicide-homicide bombing of women and children? How can they not be moved by the repeated concessions by Israel and none by the Palestinians Muslims.

Muhammad said, "He who kills one innocent, kill all innocents."

Are Democrats and liberals and others less merciful and less just than Muhammad?
