Pessimism is protective...

A bombing campaign?? Right now the media (in Canada) is reporting an air strike that killed a number of Afghan civilians...this report is being used as propaganda against the efforts to go after the Taliban. I don't think the bombing missions are successful -- particularly not when the victims end up being children...you get the question: "So, who's the terrorist?" This bombing of civilians works *for* the Islamists. I think there has to be a much better *ideological* campaign waged against the Islamist imperialsts -- not necessarily a military one. (I could go further to mention what Democrats believe is "good for Israel" -- nine times out of ten, it's not good for Israel, but good for Arabs...thus, the Democrats may convince themselves that they're really, really pro-Israel, but the reality is usually otherwise...)
