Its not confusing at all KrReader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by Richard Lion heart (United States), May 22, 2006 at 22:57 That story about that ex-preist is quite funny. I'm glad he quit the priesthood because its obvious he never understood the nature of God. The Holy Trinity consist of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This doctrine was not invented. It is in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. Jesus is the Son of God. Which means equal with God in essence, therefore God. Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need."Jesus replied: Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don't you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father? 10Don't you believe that I am one with the Father and that the Father is one with me? What I say isn't said on my own. The Father who lives in me does these things. John 14: 8-12 Jesus is true God and true man. When Jesus died on the cross, it was only his human body but He remain Divine. Jesus died to offer us Salvation. Humans did not over power him, He allowed it to happen so prophecy could be fufilled. Everything took place just as the prophet Isaiah had prophesied some seven hundred years earlier, when he wrote concerning the Messiah: "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth." (Isa. 53:7) Isaiah also penned these words of the Messiah, "I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting." (Isa. 50:6)
