Dear Dr Pipes,

Regarding my above comment and your brief response, I agree that I drifted away from what you had originally said. I agree with what you actually had said. My entire discussion about the (so called) golden age of Islam was orthogonal to what you had said. I personally believe that the golden age of Islam was not qualitatively different from the other ages of Islam, but that belief was different from to your original point. This clarification because I do not want to misrepresent you for your other readers.
