Issues of a Revived Roman Empire - Sound Familiar - ANYONE?Reader comment on item: Middle East Geopolitics Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Mar 25, 2022 at 11:35 In reading headlines in this world's technological projection of global events, is there any reason not to expect a full-blown redress and paranoid examination of events that will not only mimick what was on the newreels of eighty years ago, but history does have its own history of replicating events not learned by previous generations that did not come to any resolution of not repeating the mistakes of not only the prior generation, but of dozens of generations whose histories are rife with the ancient antipathies we are seeing replayed again in our own time. Seriously, the defenders of freedom are in short supply this time.
