Dr. Pipes,

Please watch this 11 minute video with interviews on the streets of the West Bank to see what the young people think about a two-state solution and peace with Israel:


It is amazing and tragic that with all of the infighting and debates within Israel about what to do with the territories captured in 1967, the Palestinian man on the street has not budged one millimeter. Their optimism regarding their eventual victory and implacable belief that everything including all lands from 1948 is rightfully theirs is not encouraging.

By the way, one can speculate that unlike in Gaza, the "economic peace" and conflict management model with the West Bank has provided them the leisure to feed their irredentist aspirations.
