Write to the Advertisers

Reader comment on item: Television in Time of War

Dr. Pipes:
You appear to be resolved on this issue concerning appearing on TV in order to debate the undebatable (as a side show) and so I will not try to persuade you otherwise. At any rate, I'm with you. I don't attempt conversation with fellow guests who have imbibed too much at a party; it's boring and unproductive .. and that's in a benevolent or neutral setting!

However I am adding my words in agreement with those who have suggested that you use every opportunity to voice your ethical objections .. loudly and clearly (and we know articulately) to this unseemly format networks are providing for tyrants (and profits). Can you let it be known -- when you do choose to debate in an honest format -- exactly why you have done so?

Networks that provide a pulpit for Islamotyrrants and their fans are engaging in sedition. As consumers we have power. We can write to the advertisers who pay for this junk and let them know precisely what we think of what they are paying for.
