Media Execs will not do the right thing -- Go on TV

Reader comment on item: Television in Time of War

Submitted by Steve Balog (United States), Aug 2, 2005 at 17:09

I understand your position and I feel for you regarding the emotional toll such on-air "debates" take. However, the "ideal solution" (that media execs will voluntarily exclude enemy's apologists and advocates due to a sense of patriotism during wartime) is not realistic and is not going to happen.

The public needs intelligent commentators like you to neutralize the garbage that is being splashed across the airwaves. Please reconsider your position.
