To understand what is happening today with the Islamic terrorists it is necessary to understand that it is all about POWER.
Its about the Arab Islamists trying to recapture the power they lost over 1000 years ago.

Its about a former caliphate never coming to terms with that loss of power, status and leading role in the world.

It's about a religious sect which at its heart was designed from the beginning to serve the purpose of territorial expansion and the acquisition of POWER using military means.

If these crucial facts are not forgotten then all the chaos and violence being perpetrated in the world today by the Islamist terrorists makes perfect sense.

The fact is that Islam due to its rigid structure and need for unquestionable obedience has led the Arab Islamic nations down the path to stagnation and weakness but also due to its militaristic expansionist nature is driving the current wave of terror.

However, The Islamic Jihadists seem to have forgotten the old truism " All power is in the end Military in nature". If this is true and I state it is, they are doomed to failure in their quest for power as the have NO military power.
The west which had its reformation, renaissance and industrial revolution has sailed away into the lead since the days of Arab dominance and as such the current violent Islamic campaign can only lead the Arab states deeper down the path of stagnation and weakness. They can never regain their former power whist living under the stultifying fundamentalist interpretation of Islam.
