Hold nose & vote for the Impeachable Trump

Reader comment on item: What's a Conservative to Do? Vote for Pence

Submitted by Joe (USA) (United States), Oct 21, 2016 at 23:57

As a Conservative and a Catholic, I regard Hillary as unfit to be President, despite her intellect and experience. Some of her positions are intellectually dishonest and harmful.

I hold Trump as unfit to be President, but I would vote for Mike Pence if he were the Republican's Presidential Candidate. As a Catholic, I have a Christian Duty to both want the U.S.A.'s Common Good "and to take effective steps to secure it"(from encyclical Caritas in Veritas). Watching Trump in the debates, I am confident that if he wins the election, he will bring about his impeachment and removal before this coming July 4th. Thus, I am holding my nose and voting for the impeachable Trump.

Writing in Pence is not an effective way to do the most good for the U.S.A. Google and read (a) psmag.com's 10/4/2016 article, "The Case for a Trump Impeachment" by Katie Kilkenny, interviewing Law Professor C.L. Peterson and (b) his recent essay "Trump University and Presidential Impeachment". If Trump wins and an exit poll shows he won only because a voting block wants him impeached, that will speed the impeachment process.
