Voting dilemma

Reader comment on item: What's a Conservative to Do? Vote for Pence

Dear Mr Pipes,

I read your email with interest.
I really do understand the dilemma that you and a good number of Americans have with regard to the election.

What is one to do in the sight of YHVH? One is answerable to Him and Him alone for our words and actions.
I am a South African and I had the same misgivings during our recent elections.

President Zuma is horrendously corrupt – there are not enough words to describe him and the years of fraudulent behaviour of the ANC. They have raped the country. I could go on but won't.

The DA has brought order to the Western Cape and Cape Town is well run with a positive bank balance. All the same the DA has a lot of policies that I cannot concur with. So we, my husband and I, really did not know what to do. But one thing we knew for sure a NO vote was a vote for the corrupt ANC. Here if you write on a ballot paper it is counted as a spoilt vote and is turfed into the dustbin. So will your writing Pence get him anywhere?

Just some thoughts
This is question that the voters in the US must answer. Do they want more of President Obama or not. From what I have read and seen Hillary Clinton will be giving more of the same plus. And what about the judges that need to be appointed? Trump I believe has named names of good people. He also he had the wisdom to choose a good man in Pence. I believe that Trey Gowdy would be usefully employed by him as well.

My solution was this. I voted DA.
Voting for Zuma would have been like voting for Hillary.
Thankfully in my city we won but have had to have coalitions with other parties.
We have already seen positive change. Things are being done with our money and we can see it.
Hope has entered the hearts of people.

I sincerely hope that YHVH will look favourably on the USA – which to my mind is a great country.
I will be sincerely praying to that end.
