Is Allah God?

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Normally I agree with Dr. Pipes and I usually find his writing cogent and insightful, however, on the question, "Is Allah God?" the answer should be obvious to everyone (including President Bush) that the answer is "NO!".

The Judeo-Christian God has disclosed himself, his will for his creation and creatures in the Holy Scriptures also known as the Bible. God sent the Messiah to redeem those that will place their faith in him to remove their sins, which we all commit. Christians try to peacefully persuade others from all people groups to acknowledge the Savior and live in accordance with the Scriptures, which teaches that Love is the greatest commandment.

Muslims claim that the Koran was given by Allah. However, an internal critique of the Koran reveals that it is not consistent with itself and it is not consistent with the Bible. This is important because Muslims accept some of the books of the Bible.

So Christians have the Bible and its teaching and the Muslims have the Koran and its teaching which also includes "Jihad", or holy war which is going on in earnest.
