Does God=Allah

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Submitted by Walter Manchur (Canada), Jun 28, 2005 at 22:04

Religion is a unique topic for discussion in that it always invokes a plethora of personal opinions. The sad aspect of this is that most people who participate passionately in these discussions, have never studied both the Bible and the Qur'an and compared the two books. Judging from the volume of responses and their content I suspect that most of the respondents to your article would be numbered among those who never studied both texts. I've studied the Bible for 30 years and the Qur'an for 3 years, (inspired to do so after Sept 11, 2001) and the evidence clearly indicates that these two texts were neither written or inspired by the same God regardless of how you refer to the author(s). As for God; God is what or whom you worship. Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other "gods" before me. How else can you explain this scripture?
