No go zones/historical parallel

The five points , lower Manhattan. "Gangs of New York" was a historical parallel. And continuing with the "tenement" or cold water flats of the lower east side and subsequent immigration. Also, there is some parallels with the Hasidic communities of New York. But that was 150 years ago in fledging governments and sovereignty. Europe is way beyond those examples.
