in response to reader comment: Islam have nothing to do Arab culture

Submitted by Ahmad (United States), Dec 9, 2014 at 21:36

Islam claims to fix the "barbaric" culture that the arabs had before the prophet. In reality however, arab culture is highly influenced by Islam, which has been a part of the culture more than 1400 years ago. Your claim is misleading. Furthermore, the Quran is in fact sexist and denying it to be is a denial of a fact. Marrying 4 women is not part of pre islamic arab culture. I read the Quran and I was born a muslim.

Also, how do you explain women testimonies in Islam, where it is half that of a man's? The prophet also married Aisha, which was not even a teenager at the time. Picking and choosing what you want to digest in religion will not change the facts. I used to criticize some aspects and believe in other, which makes no sense. So please, read the Quran carefully and reconsider your statement. If you choose to believe in it, that is your decision, but do not claim that others who criticize the facts do not know well about
