Did Hitler kill in Christianily's name?

Dear Dr Pipes: Your reader Amina in 2009 suggested that if Islam is associated with terror, it was only fair to associate Nazism and Hitler with Christianity. Can anyone be as naive as Amina? Here are the differences between the Nazi and Islamic situations (many people have repeated them hundred of tiems):

1. Nazism was a 2-country phenomenon (mostly Austria and Germany). It was not as widespread as Islam is.

2. It lasted for not more than 5 decades. Certain objectionable stands of Islamic terrorists are almost as old as Islam.

3. Nazis did not fight and kill in the name of Christianity or any other religion.

4. The people who eventually defeated Nazis were Christians. Our world will be a very happy place if a crowd of even ten Muslims congregate in opposition to 9/11 (let alone an army).

5. Nazis were almost entirely all bad. They followed an unbelievable bad doctrine for a relatively short part of history. They caused extreme harm but it was still easy to defeat them. On the other hand, the support for Islamic terrorists is wide spread. There were no apologists for Nazis. Apologists for Islamic terrorists are spread all over.

6. Nazism and religion were not so deeply intertwined as Islamic terrorism and Islam are. For example, the Islamic terrorists want to establish some or the other form of Islamic rule whereever they are.
