in response to reader comment: Do not underestimate the power!!!

Mansoor writes:

".......Power of Allah is beyond all your imaginations!!!"

Seeing 'God' (the ground of being) is everything - and we do not know all that exists in time and space then , and if you are contending that 'God', 'Allah', 'Brahma' etc are interchangeable terms then certainly that is a truism.

But we can also say the power of your imagination is beyond our expectations. Islam is not knowledge of the Source. It is just a set of beliefs that people like yourself - for whatever reason - are happy to accept and think is the ultimate truth.

But it is not.

"This is a universal truth and many deny that due to their ignorance. "

Yes - there is a universal truth. It's called Life, Sat Nam, the Tao , Chi etc etc When you have realised the Universal Truth - which is inside of you - then let us know. You won't be carrying on with the claptrap you now espouse. Otherwise, you're just spouting what you think it is that you know which can only ever be just your own beliefs - i.e. the world through Arabian/Muslim colured glasses.

"No, but infact recent surveys suggest that Islam is the fastest spreading religion of the world!! Why is it so???"

If that were true - it would be because some unenlightened beings, not knowing any better, feel compelled to spread their ignorance to others . Others, similarly deluded - feel a certain safety in numbers an. If so many are doing this, it must be right eh?

Some, in positions of power , are taking advantage of the ignorance and gullibility of other human beings, in order to increase their power and influence. It has nothing to do with enlightenment or spreading the awareness of truth.

"......For Heaven's sake please leave Islam alone!! "

But you just said "....Just tell me, the technology, the media power and the propaganda so vividly propagated all around the world against Islam did any harm to this religion??"

How can Truth be harmed?

"....Or at least try to study Islam without biased approach."

IMHO, Sufism is the closest thing Islam has that approaches anything respectable. It emphasises direct experience of the the non-ego and leaving 'beliefs' behind. The rest of Islam is mostly silly superstition.

"I see the remarks of most of the contributors here as misdirected and highly biased. Many of the people over here don't want to know any thing positive about Islam. "

That is perfectly understandable and based on the fact that there is very little positive to say.

"They are somewhat shaken when they see Islam with the shadow of Taliban. Talibans are actually the followers of Islam who are only following some part of this religion. They have developed their awe on the people of the world through their so called barbaric approach "

Not 'so-called' - it is ACTUALLY barbaric.

"The thing which is hiding behind the curtains is their ability to control law and order situation in the areas of their control. It is not possible that you can gather so much support on the basis of heavy arms over your shoulder...try to understand that Talibans have won the support of common people which is deliberately hidden by the media!!. "

Taking people hostage an beheading or otherwise murdering local officals who don't buckle to their demands is the ture 'strength' of the Taliban. That you don't like facts being displayed by the media is more an indication of your unwillingness to accept reality.

Please visit http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/

and click on 'Pakistan on the Brink' - the second .icon down the right hand side. After watching it - please let us know what you didn't like - and which parts you found biased and misrepresented the Taliban's case (or lack of one.)

"..Talibans are mostly illiterate and their improvement and mildness can only be achieved through mediation rather than pounding bombs on them. This is turning them more aggressive."

And what about literate, western trained Muslim doctors - like the ones who attempted to demolish Glasgow Airport. Were they pounded with bombs in London?

"......Even the King can be prosecuted under true Islamic Sharia which is ironically not propagated by the West."

It's not ironic that it is not practised in the West. It is not practised in the West because the West has evolved less primitive and archane legal systens - that are not based on the tenets of a very questionable belief system.

"Quran gives good news about heavenly rewards for those who follow this religon in true spirit. "

But what if the idea of 72 virgins and an inexhaustible supply of wine and green cushions doesn't turn me on?

"It also declares severe punishment to those who are violating Allah's law. Allah is all powerfull and has all the control over the world. We are failed to understand that!!!"

Oh no, not Big Scary Allah again! What happened to the God of love and peace and the 'Kingdom of Heaven' within?

"When it enters the womb at that time out of these numerous sperms only one sperm can get life"

Twins, triplets , octuplets etc result from multiple sperm fertilising multiple eggs.

"...Why can't you understand that only you were chosen to life and all other sperms were wasted in this process!!! "

But that sperm wasn't 'you'.

"You gain knowledge, you raise your family, you live happily and moreover your life becomes steady till the time you start getting older and then losing all the strength and health and eventually the fate becomes a grave which is dark, with loneliness and you would be there lying helpless for a huge period!!"

That's if you think your consciousness just hangs around a decaying piece of meat.

"My question is that, why we feel ourselves to be so unimportant. We are important that is why we were given life. We were the best among all those sperms that had started the race along with us but lost their lives behind. "

You are not a sperm - you're a consciousness in a body. You seem to have a poor understanding of biology - the 'best' sperm was not necessarily the one that fertilised the ovum. It was just the one that got there first. And who is to say which one was 'best'?

"........No...we are so miniature when we see the hugeness of our universe, we are nothing, infact we have no value. "

But Mansoor - a few sentences ago you just wrote "we feel ourselves to be so unimportant. We are important that is why we were given life."

So which is it?

" There are trillions of stars and many galaxies are still out of reach of our eyes..."

and do you think in the certain event that there IS life elsewhere in the universe - that conscious beings from elsewhere would find your 7th century Arabian cosmology anything other than a quaint and curious aberration ?

"You find it very easy to raise finger over Muslims but just go through the internet and find about the lives spent by renowned saints in Islam. "

There have been *saints in many traditions SINCE the beginning of Islam. Let's take Guru Nanak for example - have you taken notice of the lives of these people? Did he say anything at all about Mohammed or that Islam was the latest and greatest religion and that people should flock to mosques? No!

Now - why was that?

*= people experiencing cosmic consciousness, the deepesr part of their being etc

"Moreover our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who is most deliberately criticized by the anti Islamic forces, "

no - don't be so paranoid. They're not 'anti-Islamic forces' - just people with common sense willing to speak the truth.

seeing you like to read fables so much, here's a little Western one or you:

http://deoxy.org/emperors.htm

THERE'S NOTHING AS SCARY AS TRUTH - ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S NOT ON YOUR SIDE.

".... did not have a well built house till his demise. He was the sole ruler of newly born empire but he did not have any property, any wealth stockpile or any treasure valut!!!

but he did , amongst other things - have 11 wives - and one of them was 9 years old - as well as an army of followers who would have done anything he said. Which would have been more useful? The house ?

"Please understand that we are doing a great sin by penalizing Islam without having perfect knowledge."

Garbage. people are just expressing their God-given intelligence by stating the obvious about your belief system. Seeing that God can do anything as you say , perhaps God is using other people to state the obvious to those who have been led astray by Islam.

You just cannot handle well warranted criticism.
