The claim of Mansoor that Islam has no caste system is bunkum. At least in India, there are three classes of Muslims. It may be true of other countries also. Ashrafs are people who trace their origin to foreign mauraders who came to India. Ajlaf are the muslims of purely Indian origin. They are looked down upon by the Ashrafs. Ajral are the poor people who do menial jobs and are practically treated as outcasts. Even during the heyday of Delhi Sultanate and Mughal rule in India, Indian muslims never occupied high positions in the empire's bureaucracy. That was generally limited turkish and afghan mercenaries. Even lowly and illiterate foreigner was given higher post than a competent Indian muslim. So much for equal treatment of Muslims inter se!
