Spozhami of VOA is Horrible Taliban

Reader comment on item: The Voice of America, Silenced on Radical Islam

Submitted by Farzana Ali (United States), Apr 8, 2009 at 03:04

Spozhmai Maiwandi of VOA is not only sympathizers to the Taliban Chief, Mullah Omar, whom she interviewed while he was cursing the United States after 9/11. She is a potential threat. She has erected an empire of her own under the dark shadow of Capito Hill, where she is busy hiring pro-Taliban elements in the VOA from both Afghanistan and Pakistan, bypassing all the merit criteria. By flattering her bosses, she has now risen to the position of Southeast Asia Director.

She is encouraging her staff to air anti-US interviews and pro-Muslim boasts. SHe is just making mockery of the VOA Charter and the hard-earned taxpayers money. She has also launched a second Pashto-language radio - Dewa, which is famous for being the Voice of Taliban. Pro-Taliban people from the tribal areas of Afghanistan nd Pakistan are invited to speak on this radio who curse the US govt on this US-funded media. SO DR PIPES you NEED SOME MORE RESEARCH on this. This is only the tip of the ice-berg ....
