Slight Re-evaluation is Needed Here

Let's say you're a journalist working with an organization like the BBC or CNN. Osama bin Laden lets it be known through his myriad of contacts that he would like you to interview him. Would you go? For me, there's no question I'd go. Let us differentiate between doing a mere interview and giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Is Ms. Maiwandi guilty by reason of association by interviewing Mullah Omar? Let's give her the benefit of the doubt as we have no reason to question Joan Mower's professionalism. My observation earlier on VOA still stands. By avoiding and denying the truth about Islam VOA does a great disservice to its loyal listeners.
