I think we also owe some thanks to Dr. Pipes. He called us to the e-mail front-line and told us where to shoot so that we'd have some impact. There's no reason at all to twist up our regulations just because of people's irrational superstitions. If their feelings are hurt, it's their fault; not mine.

Anyway, I'm glad that Dr. Pipes gave us the chance to do more than just make comments to each other.
