American weapons vs. Russian weapons (Israeli civilians vs. Arab civilians)

Spar, We can argue about this until the kingdom comes. The thread was about Somali drivers in Minnesota, and no! Israelis didn't destroy homes and kill those taxi drivers or their brethren back home. Somalia happens to be far far away from Israeli-Palestinian issue. So it is really mischievous to drag Palestinian issue in this thread.

Even when you want to talk about Israeli-Palestinian issue, be fair please! Just to jog your memory, let me tell you that Arabs chose to become Soviet Allies (after losing their supporter in Berlin aka Hitler), while Israel chose to become American Ally.

Both sides fought, and it just happens that the Arab side lost. Modern wars are hell and civilians do suffer. Some of the WWII era residents of London, Tokyo, Dresden, and Stalingrad are still alive and they will tell you the whole story.

Leftists love to blame American weapons in the Middle East. However they conveniently ignore the Soviet and Iranian weapons being used by Palestinians and other Arabs to demolish Israeli homes and kill Israeli citizens.

Wish we had a time machine so that we could all go back in time to 1948, and fix the issues. Unfortunately those geeks in Silicon Valley are too slow in developing such a machine. So for now going back is not possible. That time is gone. Anyone wanting to live in peace now that is in 2006, will get peace. It is that simple.

Just ask Egyptian Arabs. They wanted peace and guess what no American weapon destroys their homes anymore, and as a bonus they got the Sinai back as well.

Same thing is true with Palestinians, that they will get their land if they decide to live in peace. Gaza was vacated recently. Settlers were removed from their homes even by force and by Israeli soldiers. That clearly shows that Israeli government wants to live in peace even at the cost of their own citizens. .

Palestinians were supposed to use Gaza as a model to show that they respect Israel's right to exist. However they have yet to show their peaceful side. If Palestinians can't use Gaza for peaceful living, how could anyone trust them with the West Bank?

So please stick to the Somali taxi drivers in Minnesota and do not drag Israeli-Palestinian issue in this. Thank you.

Peace

Dr. Qazi
