No such thing as Radical Islam or Radical any other Religion

Reader comment on item: My Disrupted Talk at the University of California-Irvine

Submitted by William Sumner Scott, J.D. (United States), Feb 2, 2007 at 15:54

The official religious text materials are the same taught to all followers. As witnessed by this demonstration against Dr. Pipes, these were not radical people, they were well organized people. This clash is a demonstration that all organized religions are dangerous. Whether it be clergy praying on children, the murder of abortion doctors or the suicide bombs of innocent people or the drive of a car into a crown on the NC campus or the murder of Pamela Wechter in Seattle - they are all normal religious people who can not be isolated or identifed as radical in advance of their behavior. To bring peace requires education of the dangers of all organized teaching of exclusiveness and hate. The demonstration against Dr. Pipes was actually a demonstration against the UN and Brits who set up Israel. They should take their argument there.

The enemy is all organized religious beliefs that teach, "My God is the only true God."
