Sir, I am so sorry this happened. It's the opposite of free speech and completely contradicts ALL of our ideals both regarding the US, and regarding tolerance and moderation.

I'm actually much more of a Leftist than otherwise, and have often felt your (Dr. Pipes') theories are a bit alarmist.

Lately I think, maybe you're right. I keep telling people, no, it's just an uncomfortable time, people are coming into contact with different worlds and there's some perfectly understandable stress.

But then something like this happens.

To have it happen in the United States of America is absolutely devastating. It's heartbreaking, and if something isn't done to educate people and raise their consciousness, it will get worse, and it's only a matter of time before something horrendous occurs - or should I say - more horrendous things.

To my Muslim brothers and sisters - if you were involved in this - or in other episodes of hate speech against your fellow man - please - what are you doing?
