Cal Irvine has Lax Security-Anarchy

Reader comment on item: My Disrupted Talk at the University of California-Irvine

This was a demonstration of "disorderly conduct".

Cal Irvine and Dr. Pipes must have more concern for safety.

To get into the lecture should have required a student id or drivers license with a list maintained of the names. Once they left, then those there compared with the list of those who remained. Those who participated in the demonstration should be reprimanded for their behavior. They are identified by comparison of the list on the way in with the list on the way out. Other ways is for the inactive police to step in to stop the noise and mass demonstration by warnings in advance or other measures.

The First Amendment protects free speech outside, not disruption inside the hall. The key line is, "for now". They will soon be violent in the USA. Steps must be made to control this abhorrent behavior.

To permit this behavior to continue will lead to anarchy. The President of Cal Irvine must be made aware of the sore on the school.
