for ramses and Iran and islamReader comment on item: Muslims in the West: Can Conflict Be Averted? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jan 27, 2007 at 07:57 My dear ramses99 the people of Persia were dragged into Islam. They never had any like for the Arabs. I would also say that Fardawsi's "Shahnemah" alone might have been what saved the Farsi language and and therefore the Persian culture from the language of the arabs. But the ulitmate insult to the arabs and their religion is that according to Ali Dashti 70% of 3Ulum al-Islam were composed and written by Persians and not by Arabs. More insulting to the arabs that the great grammarians of the Arabic language were non_Arabs and I include here Sibawayhe. And can we imagine the arabic language today without the likes of Hunein ibn Ishaq who was a Nestrorian Christian who introduced many words in the Arabic language based on Sibawayhe's F3L (eg: balgham, tuhal, safra, shabakiya etc...) perfect Arabic words that would have had no meaning to Muhammad and his generation. He is also the one that I believe introduced the short Arabic vowels (fatha damma and kassra) from Syriac. The rule of the Arabs in their own civilization was marginal at best. The people of Iran were the only Muslims that really shared our grief here in the US following the 9/11 atrocity by walking out in streets in the night of 9/11 carrying candles, and it was indeed moving.
