Don't feel tired. Get to action

Reader comment on item: Muslims in the West: Can Conflict Be Averted?
in response to reader comment: Feel tired of Islam

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Oct 2, 2016 at 17:42

Dear Dr Pipes,

Your reader Jeffery from Thailand said in 2011 tht he felt tired of Islam. He should not be tired. He should get to action. Muslims will not even agree that they have a problem let alone searching for a solution. Changing Islam may take hundreds or thousands off years. In fact, Islam cannot be changed. By definition, it is frozen in the text that describes it. But Muslims can be changed. The places where Muslims live can also be changed. Let all people of the world demand secularism, democracy and freedom in Islamic countries. Without beating about bushes, I say that, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt etc etc must be secular democracies.
