I read an article (alarming) about what's going on in parts of the Arab world -- for example, South Lebanon, an area controlled by Hezbollah. The name of the article is "The Muqawama Doctrine" by Ehud Yaari. Yaari argues that Hezbollah represents the "Muqawama Doctrine" in that Hezbollah (and Hamas) engage in a doctrine of "consant combat" or "persistent warfare." These para-military organizations have no interest in "peace"; no interest in obtaining "territory." (The Arab apologists term it "resistance.") Yaari also suggests that the goal "is the methodical erosion of the enemy's resolve..[by constant acts of violence]..The essence is to spill blood," attack civilians, while denying victory to the "enemies" of Islam.

I think the same could occur in France -- that is, the slum inhabitants engage in violence until the French throw up their hands in defeat and then the French do whatever Islam demands.
