I am offendedReader comment on item: Muslim Taxi Drivers vs. Seeing-Eye Dogs Submitted by G.D. Spaniel (Canada), Nov 2, 2006 at 00:55 Yes, I am offended by anyone, Muslim or not, saying that dogs are impure / dirty. Our culture loves our pets: dogs, cats, birds, etc. Muslims who choose to live in our country need to adjust to our way of life and our way of thinking. Christians living in Muslim countries might consider not having a pet dog in deference to their beliefs. Why are all concessions one way only? When we live in their cultures we abide by their laws. If they choose to live in our culture they need to abide by our laws. It is as simple as that. And, yes I am offended. My dog is, just as many people's pets are, a valued member of my family unit. Pets become an extension of their "owners" families. Those Muslims who HATE our dogs should think of this prior to immigrating to our country.
