Actually, it's not so simple ...Reader comment on item: Muslim Taxi Drivers vs. Seeing-Eye Dogs Submitted by E L Carter (New Zealand), Jan 7, 2008 at 04:16 "Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog **or an animate picture**." because: "Whoever keeps a dog save for hunting or for guarding crops or cattle will lose one large measure (qirat) of his reward each day." It appears to be related to licking and wet fur, but it's not entirely clear which, or in what measure. Pictures are even more of a mystery.
