Saladin responds:Well, then just one question: can you refute the fact that earth is round? think about it before you go on in your confusion.

The fact that the earth is round is fact. We have the technology and the means to prove it. It can be quantified, measured. Whether God exists or not cannot be proved or disproved. I say again, it's impossible to prove either way isn't it? That is all I was getting at.

Why not? This is just ridiculous mumbo jumbo. Of course you can be crazy and a liar.

Saladin responds:Really? can a crazy person keep track of what he said earlier so that he can be consistent in what he says?

Why is it is possible. What studies have you carried out? Are you a doctor or psychologist? Are you qualified to make statements like that?

"So your objection that clever men interpreted...falls into which category?"

Either, both or none. That's my point.

Saladin responds:You want to have your cake and eat it too! you know that's impossible.

No I don't and neither do you!!

Have not the disbelievers seen that the Heavens and the Earth were one piece and we parted them? And We made every living thing from water. Will they not then believe?" (21:30)"

Disbelievers being ALL non-muslims. How would I or any other non-muslim without knowing Islam know anything about that passage??

Saladin responds:the two scientist who confirmed the big bang theory were non-muslims. this is what the verse refers to, not all non-muslims.

Disbelievers refers to non muslims no?

"As i have said the Quran is not a muslim book."

Yes it is!!! Only muslims follow it.

Saladin responds: It is a book from the one who created everything. let him who will take heed.

"It is a book from the one who created everything. let him who will take heed."

Only 1/5 of the worlds population are sure of that, so you are a minority.

Saladin responds:It's always the minority that has the truth and must let the rest know about it.

Really? That's your personal opinion. Your truth will probably be oceans apart from my truth.

"It would be very nice if they started pondering their own scriptures and stick to what their scriptures say instead of following cults invented later."

I'm intrigued! Please explain this comment. Which cults?

Saladin responds:like some versions of christianity, some versions of hinduism, some versions of....take your pick

Or your versions of Islam, Sharia, fundamentalist ....take your pick

"One more question. Why would God tell just one person in the world? If he is all powerful surely he could have just broadcast it to the world in everyones native tongue and then there would be just one religion wouldn't there?

This objection is already commented upon in the Quran. You will find the answer there. Go look it up."

Thanks for the offer but I'm sorry, I have a life you know. I'm not trawling through the Quran for these little pearls.

Saladin responds:As i mentioned earlier, let him take heed who will.

And there are similar passages in the bible.... so who's right? No one will ever know.

You said to me before.

"4:82 What, do they not ponder the Koran? If it had been from other than God surely they would have found in it many inconsistencies."

Can I ask?

Did you ponder any other religion before becoming a Muslim? Did you ponder, Christianity, Hinduism, Bhuddism, Sikhism, Judaism, paganism and all the others before becoming a Muslim.

If not why not???

Saladin responds:why do you assume i do not? The Quran is the perfectly preserved revealation. Other nations were given revealation before prophet Muhammad. The revealation given to him is for all mankind. The scriptures of other religion have the truth within them. So when i read that in the Vedas it says that God doesn't have any shape or form and you cannot compare God to anything, that makes me very happy because this is very islamic. or how about the Bible when God says"I am what I am." isn't it beautiful!

But you were always a muslim I assume? born and bred. So when exactly would you have considered all other religions apart from what you were taught by your Imams?
