You cannot compare the early Church or any form of Christianity to Islam. Christianity has to be twisted to condone violence other than in self defense. On the contrary, Islam is based upon violence. These are two very different things. For a Moslem to renounce violence he has to renounce the Koran and other Islamic doctrines. For Islam to become peaceful Islam has to be thrown out. What chance is there, do you think, for this to happen?

C.S. Lewis did a study of major world religions and found that all but one was based upon a fundamental respect for life. The one exception was Islam. And therein is the problem: we are dealing with a religion based upon submission and violence (Islam means submission), which calls for the enslavement and murder of everyone not submitting or converting, which condones rape, torture, deceit…

The trend to call Islam "peaceful" while maligning Western Culture, the Crusades for example (which were the first defensive response by Europe after hundreds of years of invasion and attack) has only lead to misinformation at best, and at worse a society of cowards who are afraid to speak the truth and who sacrifice those who would defend them to the very enemies who would destroy them.

There is a MUST READ book called The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades: Very succinct, and very informative.
