..a golden opportunity for Iran again, regardless of the double standard issue!
Reader comment on item: Civil war likely in Iraq: Pipes
in response to reader comment: An Important Distinction between India and Pakistan

..the USA foreign policy is unbelievable. In a moment where they are using IAEA to pressure Iran to prove that it does not nuclearize militarity, they give a hand to a country that did not sign the NPT!! just look at how the West has helped Iran in this issue may be indirectly:

1- The western human rights scandals: Abu Grayb, Guantanamo, Dasora etc..has radicalized the Muslim public opinion to support in the street radicalized govenments -Like that of Najad-

2- The freedom of speech issue : yes for cartoons on Muhammad and for re-glorifying the cause of Salman Rushdie on one hand, and the suspention of the mayor of London and the what happen to Dr Irvin about his questioning of the Holocaust. This also serves Iran in a way that Muslims give it a great deal of credibility that will transform to support.

3- Now look at the west leaders: 1- GW Bush is in India to conclude nuclear cooperation with a state that did not sign the NPT 2- Bush in Pakistan to praise the cooperation of a Military dictator in fighting terrorism (which did not even end up catching the bad guys). 3- President Chiraque -France- is the first western leader to give a speech in the Saudi Shura Majlis (counsil of representatives and appointees).

Is this the way you want to isolate Iran! by giving it more credibility!! I guess the Iranian train has departed without return.
