Questions to muslims

Reader comment on item: Islamic Law at Belmont U

Submitted by John Bastile (Malaysia), Apr 24, 2006 at 20:39

Since Sept 11, I have been awaken by the evils of Islam. I believe that many people do as well. Initially, I believed that the incident happened because of US foreign policy. Now, I begin to realise that it is the evils of Islam that are spreading as a result of the teachings of Wahabism funded by petro-dollars, embolden by the victory at Ahganistan against the Russians.

The cartoons drawn by a Danish newspaper caused riots at a "global" scale. From Libya to Indonesia. Flags were burnt, embassies torched and people died. Most of the cartoons were not offensive or even funny. Nonetheless, death threats were made and some editors were jailed for reprinting them.

The irony is that worse "blasphemies" were made over the internet and media. For instance, right here at this contribution, I could offer a few teasers:

Questions to ask in the "Who want's to be a millionaire?" contest

1. Which self-proclaimed prophet, at the age of 54, insisted and married a 6 year old girl?

Answer - Mohammed.

2. Which prophet had to continous give money so that his followers (called the Emigrants) will follow him?

Answer - Mohammed

3. Which prophet had to resort to raiding trade caravans and attacked towns for slave-trading in order to spread his religion?

Answer - Mohammed

4. Which prophet caused his adopted son to divorce his wife so that he could marry her?

Answer - Mohammed

5. Which prophet attacked towns and raped young girls?

Answer - Mohammed

6. Which prophet, in order to save his favourite wife from an adulterous charge, made a divine revelation that such charge requires 4 eye witnesses where there were only 3 eyewitnesses at that event? Such "divine" revelation has caused the misery of muslim women for 1400 years.

Answer - Mohammed.

My point is that, I can get away without death threats coming my way. Why you asked? Well, my "blasphemies" are intellectual by nature. It doesn't mean I am intelligent. It means that the above do not contain graphic illustrations.

If I were to draw pictures instead, perhaps I would draw more flak. The conclusion is simple. If you would like to push the red button and caused muslims to jump, draw pictures. Don't use words. Entering into intellectual debates only draw the attention of fairy-tale muslims. Their arguments offer circular reasonings. Don't blame them. Muslims were not raised to think critically. They good in cut-and-paste though. You want the real muslims to come out, draw cartoons.

Thus, it appears that Bush may need to employ cartoonists in his "army" against "terror".
