Why the Dhimmi in Canada capitulate...

Reader comment on item: Islamic Law at Belmont U

Submitted by J.S. (Canada), Apr 26, 2006 at 19:27

At a certain university here in Canada, a philosophy prof pinned a copy of the Danish cartoons to his office door. The result?

The Burka-clad pro-Palestinians, Anglicans, and other assorted thugs immediately decided to stage a protest march. I consider myself (in general) to be a civil libertarian. I do not (in general) object to demonstrations, marches, etc. (so long as the demonstrations are peaceful, etc.) But I DID object to this staged demonstration. Why? Because hundreds of these chanting, placard-carrying thugs identified (by name) this prof (they were marching against this individual -- naming him -- as if he were another Rushdie -- a "blasphemer" of Islam), and they descended (according to newpaper reports) on to this professor's home. These people remind me of the brown shirts of the 1930s -- they have the mentality of a lynch mob. You happen to say or do something which upsets the nazi-fascists, and they will come after you...en masse. And this is not just Muslims (this has nothing to do with "Islamophobia") -- this includes the Anglicans and all the others who support these thugs. The churches here in Canada will not stand up or count themselves beside the brave professors who exercise their right to free speech -- but they will support the Arab mobs! It's truly infuriating.

I believe that what happened with this prof is similar to what occurred by some fanatical anti-abortionists (I believe the anti-abortionists had a website with names and addresses of individual abortion doctors -- these fanatics weren't content with just protesting against abortion, but with attacking and naming particular individuals -- I believe this crosses a line into criminal behavior.). Dito for what happened here in Canada -- It's not just about staging a "demonstration" against some cartoons -- it's about intimidation and veiled threats directed against a named individual -- ie., you either bow down to our wishes or else. Again, it's a thugish, brutal mentality -- they are intent on identifying particular individuals and then mounting a witch hunt -- like something out of the Middle Ages. (Again, I believe there should be a moratorium declared on immigration...or until these aliens can demonstrate a sound understanding of what "human rights" entail -- particuarly, free speech -- and if these immigrants cannot grasp the concept, then they should stay out of Canada...)
