Good work, Dr. As a non-Muslim, my understanding of Islam comes not from Quran, but from the actions of Muslims as recorded in history and reported in daily newspapers. As a muslim, it is your duty to go through Quran and try to undertsand it. The gratutious violence indulged by Muslims from the beginning matches the violence of language in the Quran. In fact, the former is underpinned by the latter.
