To Taj AshaheedReader comment on item: White House Nonchalance [toward the Middle East] Submitted by Vijay (United Kingdom), Apr 4, 2006 at 11:43 >Submitted by Taj Ashaheed, Apr 3, 2006 at 18:10>Second, it is obvious that just because a cleric opines about the fate of someone that this fate >will be carried out - the Afghan/apostasy case is clearly an example of such, and last I looked >Rushdie was alive and well... >It does us all better, critics and supporters alike, to maintain some posture of critical thought ->especially when being critical :) What hypocrisy, Taj Ashaheed or are you joking? Rushdie is alive due to 24/7 protection by policemen and he is in a secret location in fear of Islamic murderers. After all some of his translators and supporters, who were available to public access, have been murdered by Islamic assasins. What is the lie about 'last I looked Rushdie' ? Where did you look Rushdie? He is not available to the public and lives a secret life. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
