Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Test for prophecy

Oh! Nuray, you have so much to learn about Christianity and the prophets of the true God Yahweh. The reason Christian saints neither the Bible predicted Muhammad is because he's a false prophet and they knew that JESUS was the seal of prophets.

"Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed HIS SEAL OF APPROVAL." John 6:27
'

"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End ... I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star' ... He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." Revelation 22:12-13, 16, 20

This is what the LORD says - Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God." Isaiah 44:6

Biblical prophets were filled with the Holy Spirit and everything they predicted came to pass. Let's take a few examples.

This prophecy is about the Babylonian invasion of Israel and the destruction of the temple.

Daniel 9:26
"After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing.[1] The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed"

This prophecy is about the restoration of Israel and the destruction of Babylon by the Persians.

Jeremiah 25:11-12

This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
"But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians,[1] for their guilt," declares the LORD, "and will make it desolate forever.

Until this day Babylon is desolate. When Sadam tried to rebuilt it we know what happened to him.

In this prophecy Jesus foretold the destruction of Jerusalem by Rome.

Luke 21:24
They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

You said Bible prophets did not foretell the coming of Muhammad, actually they did.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." (Matt. 7:15-20)

...

What does the Apostle Peter has to say about that.

2 Peter 3:15-17, "Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position." ...
