Dear John,

It seems that you feed your mind with media news not historical knowledge. I strongly advise you to read history of mankind, establishment of great civilizations, great leaders. This is exactly what you need. "to raid caravans" is how you understood Islam. What a poor understanding for a person living at 21st century.

The problem with the free people like you is that the habit of seeing others inferior. This is also one of the cause of being racist. Education don't cure this human mind disease. Perhaps this comes with genes, who knows.

According to Quran paradise will provide satisfaction of endless basic human needs. I think it is very logical. People enjoy different things at different centuries. Riding a horse means now driving fast car. Some enjoys developing computer programmes like me. Shall I hope to find
flawless operating systems, no more typing or compile errors in Paradise ? It sounds wonderful.

(1) Muslims will be friend of Allah in Paradise, what a great honour.

For them will be a Home of Peace with their Lord: He will be their Friend, because they practiced (righteousness). (6:127)

All people are not supposed to be friend of Allah. They have to prove it. That's why friendship is rewarded in Paradise. There is nothing free in Islam. You should work hard and deserve it.

(2)Allah will greet Muslims in Paradise, what a great honour.

"Salâmun 'Alaikum (peace be upon you) for that you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!" (13:24)
Salâmun 'Alaikum is the way of greeting among Muslims. This greeting is preferable but the greeting in return is compulsory.

(3) Muslims will be in peace in Paradise
Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood (88:11)
I think We humans would be in Paradise if we had that on earth.

When our messenger, peace upon him, came back from a battle he said that we came from little Jihad to big jihad that acting according to Quran. So Jihad is compulsory for self defence to have freedom. During the time of peace Muslims have more difficult Jihad like feeding poor, sharing wealth with others, not drinking alcohol etc.
