Dear Marco,

Sir W. Churchill is still a hero of Britons. He was a politician, not an expert on theology.
It is not surprise that Islam doesn't serve for super powers anywhere in the world at any century. Less than 10% of Britons go to churches regularly. It is estimated that Christianity is going to vanish within 50 years in Europe. I hope that not happens so fast.

Sir Isaac Newton, great scientist, used to read ancient scriptures for scientific purposes. He was also a very religious man. He read 30 different copies of Bible and then he refused trinity, which was man made theory as Quran says. He kept his belief in God. You can use internet to get more information.
