Statement on Iran's Final Solution Plan

Yes, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quite frank regarding his feelings toward Israel. I also believe that, contrary to past rhetoric by Iranian leaders, including the deceased Ayotollah Khomeni, the manner in which Mr. Achmadijad spoke is what is truly upsetting. The new Iranian president, speaking at a forum entitled: The World Without Zionism, desires that the Jewish State be eliminated - full stop! His calm demeanor means that he is a man of conviction; his 'conviction' being to "wipe Israel off the face of the map".

European countries are finally reacting to what they should have reacted to long ago. The IAEA, with it's low keyed attempts to keep Iran from going forward in it's nuclear armament program, has not been able to keep this country from proceeding with it's aims - that of becoming the third country in the region to have a proclaimed nuclear arms program. Israel is not part of this 'esteemed' fraternity as it has never officially admitted having nuclear weapons. Therefore, the Iranian government's 'nose thumbing' towards the IAEA, should cause everyone in the free (and not so free) world to loose sleep, and not just the 6+ million inhabitants of Israel.

The only conclusion that can be drawn is that Mr. Ahmadinejad, the Mullahs, and others who are ruling Iran, do not appear to care what happens to Iran's population should he and his cronies decide to try to do what he so 'eloquently' said in his speech. Is he prepared to sacrafice his own countrymen as 'holy martyrs' on his account?

He and his fellow religionists should think more rationally about this, as Israel, and other countries as well, will not be ready to go along with them to paradise.
