You are right

After years of confusion, I believe that I now have the answer to why the West has done nothing against the Islamic threat.

Even after 9/11 the Western world was not ready for a tenth crusade. The past 50 years have softened us into a civilisation of tolerance and co-existence and the acceptance of behaviour in all walks of life that would have been unthinkable before the second world war.

So how, as a president of America or as a leader of a Western government, do you convince people that they need to protect their way of life but, in the process, get some of your people killed.

First, you launch a war on "terror" because the people are still not ready for the "I" word.

Then, you allow a Muslim country to develop a nuclear weapon which you know will be used against Israel.

In the meantime, you expect "minor agitations" like 7/7, Bali, etc. to put fear into Western populations

When the bomb drops on Israel you are now in a position to launch the tenth crusade -C10? ( Sounds quite punchy ! )

The rest of the Western world will be in no position to argue against action and the coalition of US, Europe, Russia, Australasia, non Muslim Asia and even Africa, have the technology to retake the Muslim world (Read oil producing countries)

Result: the Western world now has the oil. Mission accomplished.

God, I hope I'm wrong.
