Time to Act ...Reader comment on item: Iran's Final Solution Plan Submitted by Pat Hurshell (United States), Nov 1, 2005 at 15:27 Dear Daniel Pipes,You say we've been "put on notice." I certainly agree that Iran's latest rhetoric is sinister, frightening and should be taken very seriously by the West. It is of course, as you point out, nothing new but Iran's growing ability to cause a nuclear catastrophe for Israel and possibly Pakistan makes it indeed time to "act." Somehow you make it sound as though this is simply a matter of deciding to do so. But how, in your opinion, should we act? Shall we declare war? Should the UN declare war? Do we have any other leverage? It doesn't look as if Russia or China can be persuaded to persuade Iran's government to give up its main source of citizen support. What are your suggestions? I hope you'll address this subject soon. Perhaps you already have and can direct me to the appropriate site.
